Linesider
Terms of Service
Last updated 22 July 2026.
Linesider is a transport-spotting logbook. By creating an account you agree to these terms. Linesider is currently in limited testing and free to use; if paid plans launch, their terms will be added here before anything is charged.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 (or the digital-consent age where you live) and provide accurate account details.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account — this permanently removes your account and data.
Your content, and what you licence to us
- Your spots, photos, journeys and notes remain yours.
- You warrant that you have the rights to the photos you upload (you took them, or you may use them).
- When you share content with the community (publishing an operator, class or fleet list), you grant Linesider a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that submission within Linesider — including keeping the shared catalogue available to other members after you leave. Factual fleet data (numbers, registrations, types) is shared under this licence; your private log is never part of it.
Community rules & moderation
- No unlawful, infringing, hateful or harassing content; no spam; no deliberately false catalogue data.
- Community content can be reported in-app; reports are reviewed within a day, and offending content or accounts may be removed or suspended.
- You can block another member at any time — everything they share is hidden from you.
The service
- AI identification is an assist and can be wrong — the record you confirm is what counts.
- Live vehicle data comes from third-party feeds and carries their conditions and imperfections (e.g. aircraft data from adsb.lol, ODbL; transit data from the respective networks).
- Linesider is provided “as is”, without warranties; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us (currently nothing).
- We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service, we’ll give you a reasonable window to export your data.
